Fed up with all the constant notifications?
#1
You know the ones, they appear when you post messages or change settings etc. It's the little blue/grey box that says "Your thingy has been done", with the message underneath about "Fed up of waiting? Click here...".

You can actually get rid of them entirely.

Go to your User Control Panel ("User CP" at the top left just under the black bar).

When it appears, the Menu on the left, just above the title Miscellaneous, it will say "Edit Options". Click this.

In the many options that appear, the one you want is on the lower right, in the "Other Options" box. It's the Show friendly redirect pages option. Untick it, and then click on Update Options, and the friendly notification telling you it's been done is the last one you'll see.

There are plenty of other options that may be of interest to you.

Classic Mode, for instance, puts the poster information in a box on the left, rather than a strip at the top of the message. You might prefer it like that? Feel free to explore.
