Seems to me these blog pages tell Chrome to cache them for some significant time, revisiting after more than 24 hours I don't see updates which have occurred in the interim.

I've changed the cache period to 24h. Let me know if this improves things.  
The reason for the long cache directive is to try to stop certain search engines from spamming the site by continually fetching content that hasn't changed.
