What have they done?

Gaze upon this:

For our Christmas meal, we had turkey and veg. Due to the trouble of cooking actual turkey, we decided to get a sort of turkey roll. Pre-cooked. Apparently it is to be eaten cold, but I saw no reason I couldn't slice it and put it into the frying pan to heat it.
This, that you see above, is the turkey in question. Yup, that really is turkey. Well, that's what the pack said. However this being Brittany, even the so-called turkey looks and tastes like pork. We both, independently, decided that this product was so awful, it would be better to just have (instant) gravy over the veg. What you see is the reject, and we liked it so little we decided that it would be immoral to even offer it to the cats.
Mom commented that this, here, was a product that contrived to be even worse than Spam.
