It's over.
It's done.
All those Saturdays. All those half hours extra. All the long slog towards the festive season push.
It's over. Done. Finished.
I am now on holiday.
I can watch Netflix all day while sitting in bed eating obscene amounts of chocolate, if I feel like it. ☺
But mostly, if I wake up and look at the weather report generated by my server and it says -1°C, I can roll over and go back to sleep.
Of course, I'm apparently 54.02 hours in hand (that's seven full days, plus five hours to carry over), plus I have three holiday days outstanding as this winter holiday only uses five days.
But for now... holiday!
Advent 2021 day 23
Final day at work
Final day at work.
Will I take two weeks off at the end of March, or should I ask to be paid (the company usually pays for up to 40 hours). Even with being paid 40 hours, that'll leave fourteen plus three holidays, which is a week. Hmm, that might be a better option.
Well, the tax year finishes on the 31sup of March, so I have time to decide.
Libéree. dérlivrére, c'est dércidé, je m'en vais!
Gavin Wraith, 24th December 2021, 15:51 Since I got married (in 1972) I have celebrated two Christmasses each year: a Danish one on Christmas Eve, and a British one on Christmas Day. The food for each is rather different. Yes, it is tough on the liver, but these festivals deserve to be taken seriously.
Glaedelig Juul! Skaal!
