Smart card reader

Under the control of the CPU, the Digibox offers two smart card readers.
The first, the lower, is the subscriber card. This will be in use in most Digiboxes - either for a Sky subscriber card, or for the FreeView card.
The second reader is intended for an interactive service card. I'm not entirely sure what they had in mind here - except to say that I am not aware of any interactive cards... perhaps, like the 'Message' indicator, this is something that was never actually implemented.

The picture shows the TDA8004 which is a dual-smart card controller.
