Willow

Buffy, episode 4.11

("Doomed")

Vague storyline that bears little in common with the actual storyline... :-)

Willow tidies up after a little earthquake.

At a party in Porter dorm, Willow gets rejected by Percy, then called an egghead and captain of the nerd squad.

So, upset, she finds a bed and lies down for a while. Next to an extremely dead guy.

Buffy comes over, as the dead guy is hauled away.

Willow discussing what she saw...

...wearing a sweatshirt for Bunny's dog walking service. Ahhhh....

do06.jpeg; 18K

In a fight, Buffy is lifted up and slammed down onto a gravestone. Oooh! That's gotta hurt!

At Giles' place, looking for that symbol (carved into the chest of the dead guy).

Ah! Here it is!

Willow and Xander returning to Xander's place, they walk in on Spike trying to off himself with a wooden stake balanced on the floor.

do10.jpeg; 20K

They decide, against their better judgement, to take Spike with them, so he at least stays alive.

But, as they walk around at night (as the scooby gang often do), Spike has a few things to say...

Spike - "I should think you would be glad to greet the end of days. I mean neither one of you is making much of a go at it." (to Xander) "You... Kids your age are going off to University, you've made it as far as the basement. And red here, you couldn't even keep dog-boy happy. You can take the loser out of high school, but..."
Willow - "I see what you are doing. You're trying to get us to dust you."
Spike - "Am not! I just don't want pity from geeks more useless than I am."
Willow - "We're not useless! We...we help people. We fight the forces of evil."
Spike - "Buffy fights the forces of evil. You're her groupies. She'd do just as well without you...better I'd wager, since she wouldn't have to go about saving your hides all the time."
Xander - "That is no not true! We're part of the team. She needs us."
Spike - "Or you're just the same tenth grade losers you've always been and she's too much of a softie to cut you loose."

Spike walks away, leaving Xander and Willow speechless. As Spike walks, a smile grows on his face.

Walking through the ruins of Sunnydale High.

Spike realises that, while he can't hurt humans, he can maul demons. And so he does, with almost cartoonic violence.

do15.jpeg; 21K

Willow conforts Riley. His lame-ass excuse was <cough> very convincing...

do16.jpeg; 17K

This place sure looks different.

do17.jpeg; 16K

Xander and Willow are watching TV. Spike, wired from his demon bashing experience, stands in front of the television. Xander and Willow lean to look around him.

do18.jpeg; 23K

Spike - "What's this? Sitting around watching the telly while there's evil still afoot?" (he turns the TV off) "That's not very industrious of you. I say we go out there and kick a little demon ass!" (he's definitely got their attention) "What, can't go without your Buffy, is that it? Too chicken? Let's find her! She is the Chosen One after all."
"Come on!"
"Vampires! Grrr! Nasty! Let's annihilate them. For justice...and...for...the safety of puppies...and Christmas, right? Let's fight that evil! Let's kill something!"
Speechless, astonished expressions on Willow and Xander's faces, and fade to black...
Spike - "Oh, come on!"
