As Amélie's design has not
been completed, it is not possible to give an
overview of the
pin-outs.
This is what is
expected:
-
40-way IDC containing data and address bus, additional IC
decodes, and various control signals (CLK, !RST,
etc).
-
3-way socket for reset circuitry daughterboard
(or smart-reset IC): +5V, !RST, 0V.
-
20-way socket for I/O: PA0-PA5, PB0-PB7, Cx1 and Cx2,
+5V, and 0V.
-
4-way socket for IIC: +5V, SDA, SCL,
0V.
-
9-way D for serial port, wired in the conventional
manner.
-
2-way socket for power input: +5V and
0V.
The
early diagram implies that address decoding will be a
daughterboard. This is extremely likely to be incorporated on
the main board now.
The
40-way socket will allow expansion by plugging in a service
board. More I/O, etc. The IDC contains the full address bus
for complex address decoding, as well as the spare I/O device
selectors which are the easier
option. |
